Food Fossickers and The Good Loaf Sourdough Bakery & Cafe present the third “Great Local Lunch” pop-up event, celebrating our local produce with a long, delicious local Sunday lunch.

With the warmer weather upon us, it’s time to celebrate the Mediterranean flavours of Central Victoria which partner so perfectly with The Good Loaf’s range of artisan breads, each loaf hand-crafted over a 2-3 day authentic sourdough process.

Join us on Sunday October 29 for an long and lazy grazing event, as we welcome our Boort neighbours to the table. Peter and Marlise from Salute Oliva, a certified organic olive grove producing more than just award winning table olives, and Marilyn and Ian from Simply Tomatoes who are the only producers of green pickled tomatoes outside of Italy. Hear Marilyn tell her story, producing an authentic Italian product which is now exported around the world and was even served at the Danish royal wedding of Mary and Prince Frederick.

With Sunday Spring sunshine, producer stories and an opportunity to taste and learn more about the flavours and variety of breads from Laurie himself, your lunch will include many delicious local products, plus The Good Loaf’s own handmade soulful café recipes and savory pastries. Meet the makers, try their produce, and then add them to our sourdough for a real treat. Local wine will also be available on the day for purchase.

Tickets are $56 per person – includes pre-lunch tasting and samples, a delicious long lunch and a take home gift pack.
